The Royal Yachting Association (RYA), is the national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
Formed in 1953, the RYA work tirelessly for the interests of commercial and non-commercial users of UK waterways and is the Worldwide recognised standard for qualifications within the marine industry.
PSTT is proud to be an RYA recognised training centre and will uphold the exemplary training and standards expected of us.
All our Young people will have the opportunity to train and gain qualifications within the RYA scheme.
As a member of the PSTT sailing club you will be issued with an RYA logbook and will have access to all RYA publications and learning aids through us.
ASTO – The Association of Sail Training Organisations is the UK’s National Sail Training Organisation. Our membership is made up of more than 30 not-for-profit organizations that operate more than 50 Sail Training vessels around the UK. ASTO is a registered charity (no. 1083059) and company registered in England and Wales (no.4084476). ASTO’s Royal Patron is HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO. ASTO is also a founding member of Sail Training International, with ASTO’s Chairman sitting on STI’s International Council.
